Sara Camacho (she/her/ella), MS, has been involved in community health for over 20 years, with a special interest in improving access to services for linguistically diverse immigrant communities by expanding language access, challenging systems, encouraging empathy, and creating meaningful connections.
Sara genuinely enjoys listening to people's stories and experiences, approaching interactions with curiosity and cultural humility. She builds collaborative and judgement-free relationships within which she aims to provide holistic mental health support and support clients in exploring the intersectionalities of their social and personal identities. She uses a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed framework with clients, pulling from Acceptance and Commitment, Cognitive Behavioral, and Social Justice therapies. Sara believes in using culturally sensitive, evidence-based techniques to empower clients to work toward their goals and improve life satisfaction. When appropriate, she likes to incorporate the power of nature and the outdoors into her work.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her daughters and pets, hiking and birdwatching, reading, cooking spicy food, salsa dancing, and travelling internationally and to National Parks.
