Melanie Mason (she/her), MS, LPC-IT, has been working in the mental health field since 2019. Throughout her career, Melanie has had the opportunity to work with individuals and families across the lifespan, primarily in community-based settings as well as outpatient care. She has experience supporting children, parents, and adults navigating a variety of mental health challenges.
Melanie’s particular passion is working with women who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, self-doubt, or a desire to feel more confident and connected to themselves. She believes that life experiences can shape the way people see themselves and she enjoys helping clients recognize their own strengths, build self-compassion, and develop skills that support meaningful change.
Melanie’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, and client-led. She often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, DBT Skills Integration, and person-centered techniques based on each individual’s needs and goals. She believes that you are the expert on your own life and her role is not to tell you who you should be or what you should do, but to walk alongside you, help you uncover the strengths and skills you already possess, and support you in using those strengths to move toward the life you want.
As a Therapist and Service Facilitator, she also values helping clients navigate systems and connect with resources that can support their overall well-being as well as collaborating with a client’s professional and natural supports. Whether you are looking for support through a difficult season, working towards greater confidence and independence, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, Melanie strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, respected and empowered.
