Katie Martinez (she/her), MSSA, APSW, has worked in the mental health and substance use fields since 2005 in a variety of settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, residential treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use, a shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, schools, jails/prisons, and mostly in community case management programs for people with legal, mental health, and substance use issues. 

Katie identifies as a liberation/abolitionist practitioner, which means she aims to dismantle oppressive systems and help alleviate the effects of oppression on our ability to live the life we want. She is excited to be a part of your journey and especially loves to collaboratively explore why we do what we do and how patterns of thought or behavior that may be hurting and/or helping us. 

Katie takes a harm-reduction approach, meaning absolute sobriety is not a requirement for working with her. She will provide judgement-free, culturally informed environment and welcomes people of all experiences, identities, and orientations. Katie has extensive experience in working with marginalized communities including neurodivergent, BIPOC, and LGBTQI+. 

Katie’s is adaptive and uses a variety of theories and interventions when working with people such as cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, narrative, solutions-focused, and motivational approaches but will work with you to identify the best fit.

CCS Services Offered


Individual Skill Development and Enhancement

Individual Skill Development and Enhancement (ISDE) with Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month, could include teaching, modeling, training and practice in communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision-making, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and other specific needs identified in your service plan. Services may also include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, transportation, shopping, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services), and other specific daily living needs identified in your service plan.


Services provided to minors also focus on improving integration into and interaction with the minor’s family, school, community, and other social networks. Services include assisting the minor’s family in gaining skills to assist the minor with individual skill development and enhancement.


Individual Family and Psychoeducation - Managing Mental Health/Substance Use Concerns

Individual and Family Psychoeducation services with Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month,

Services may also include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services), and other specific daily living needs identified in your service plan.
