Julia Smith (she/her), LMFT, C-IAYT, RYT-500, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Yoga Therapist through IAYT. She has over 15 years working with individuals, adolescents, couples and families in the field of mental health. She offers a safe space where clients can integrate mental health therapy with yoga therapy, mindfulness and movement. My treatment style is solution-focused, positive, and strength-based. She is currently Level 1 EMDR certified. EMDR is a type of therapy that can help you move past traumatic memories so you are better able to live in the here and now. 

CCS Services Offered

Individual Skill Development and Enhancement

Individual Skill Development and Enhancement (ISDE) with Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month, could include teaching, modeling, training and practice in communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision-making, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and other specific needs identified in your service plan. Services may also include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, transportation, shopping, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services), and other specific daily living needs identified in your service plan.


Services provided to minors also focus on improving integration into and interaction with the minor’s family, school, community, and other social networks. Services include assisting the minor’s family in gaining skills to assist the minor with individual skill development and enhancement.


Individual Family and Psychoeducation - Managing Mental Health/Substance Use Concerns

Individual and Family Psychoeducation services with Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month,

Services may also include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services), and other specific daily living needs identified in your service plan. 


Employment Related Skill Development


Substance Abuse Treatment

Substance Abuse Treatment (SAT) at Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month, will begin with a comprehensive assessment including an ASAM if appropriate to have a holistic biopsychosocial assessment which will be used in guiding treatment. SAT will allow for completion of updated ASAM’s as needed. Ongoing SAT with Liz will utilize treatment modalities such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), Seeking Safety, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), preparation work for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other appropriate modalities depending on the progress of the therapy. SAT will aid you in the development of inter and intra-personal relationships, problem solving, decision making, self-regulation, and goal setting. SAT will work with you on internal resource development and enhancement, building skills to manage anxiety, depression, and trauma related to triggers of substance use. This will include different exercises including building a safe space, grounding, container exercises, mindfulness, and other activities to help ground and teach you to stay present in the moment.  SAT will utilize practice, role-modeling, role-play, to help you gain the skills necessary to reach recovery goals. SAT will support the processing of  underlying emotional issues and related trauma.
