Amanda Asbel, MSW, LCSW, has been a community mental health worker since 2016. Amanda began her career in Milwaukee as a Youth and Family Advocate at Pathfinders Youth Shelter. Since returning to the Madison area in 2020, she has worked as a Service Facilitator and Individual Skills Developer, focusing on adults and adolescents.
Amanda is passionate about helping clients develop skills to manage anxiety and depression, enhance mindfulness, relationship dynamics, life transitions, and cultivating self-confidence and self-compassion.
Amanda is known for her warm and kind approach, creating a supportive space for clients navigating their recovery. Her client-centered and trauma-informed practice integrates EMDR, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic theory. Committed to strength-based care, Amanda offers unwavering support to individuals as they work towards their recovery goals.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time in nature, biking, crochet, reading, practicing yoga, attending concerts, traveling, and connecting with family and friends.

Individual Skill Development and Enhancement
Individual Skill Development and Enhancement (ISDE) with Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month, could include teaching, modeling, training and practice in communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, decision-making, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and other specific needs identified in your service plan. Services may also include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, transportation, shopping, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services (including health care services), and other specific daily living needs identified in your service plan.
Services provided to minors also focus on improving integration into and interaction with the minor’s family, school, community, and other social networks. Services include assisting the minor’s family in gaining skills to assist the minor with individual skill development and enhancement.
Individual Family and Psychoeducation - Managing Mental Health/Substance Use Concerns
Individual and Family Psychoeducation services with Hope Inspired, for up to 12 hours per month,
